Sheila Brillhart CateringIn relation to my culinary interest, I have developed a strong interest in a breathing-food connection. I am a severe asthmatic. I have suffered for most of my life from extremely severe attacks that have put me in the ICU at lest 5 or 6 times a year and have disrupted my life on way too many occasions to count. I do believe that food is medicine and there are natural ways to help ease attacks. There is some evidence to support that antioxidants and vitamin c, vitamin e and vitamin d can reduce inflammation in the lungs. These vitamins and antioxidants help to target free radicals and help release the chemicals that help to relax the muscles that make up the airways in the lungs. So it’s important to eat your fruits and vegetables, drink juices and take your supplements to breath a little easier…
